differentials not fitting into bulkheads

The completed differential is 1/16 too large to fit into the bulkheads. It appears the gear assembly is a tad too large as the differential does fit if I take the gears out.
This is the same case for both front and back units.

It sounds like something is just not seated correctly when you are closing it up.

Thanks, A hammer and the head of a nail pushed it in just enough.

You should not have to use a hammer to insert the diff, I would re-assemble it and make sure the screws are properly fastened. Make sure there is no binding or you may damage your bearings
