This one is built with maximum durability in mind.

I uploaded all of these photos from my phone and couldn’t really put them in any type of order.

Yeah Racing heat sink and fans, these are the aluminum case fans which are the only ones that hold up to big jumps.

This body holds up much better than lexan for this type of terrain.

The Fioroni Losi alumium diff case is a work of art. It has steel bars built inside for maximum durability and it holds a ton more fluid than the Tekno case.

T-Bone Racing mud guards, super thick. I’ve destroyed several of the stock Tekno lexan ones.

I’m using the Arrma 5mm steel driveshaft on the center rear. The stock Tekno steel shaft is 3.5mm, they do have a 5mm as well but its aluminum.

Arrma 5mm CVD driveshafts, these are thicker than Teknos. This requires some modifications and more info can be found in my thread in the MT410 section.

I’m running a GoolRC 4076 2000kv motor on 6S, it runs perfect and this motor is super cheap! I’m running the Castle MMX ESC, super reliable.

Awesome write up. When I saw "Bulletproof" the first thing that came to mind is OK is shooting something to prove how durable it is. :)

This is solid.

Yeah that diff case is truly a work of art. A lot of time goes into making that, there is at least mill work, lathe, grinding, and precision reaming. What kind of surface treatment is done to it to get that color? I want to buy one just to have it, not that I even really need it right now with my setup.

Did you cut the centerlugs of the Backflips to get the line to lay in the center?

@Overkill this thing looks like a tank dude. I say your user name certainly holds up compared to this truck. (y)

Yeah it’s super nice, not sure on the treatment. Yes, I dremeled the center.

That looks awesome, I have a couple questions. Where do I find those ultimate bodies? I checked around and googled and just can’t seem to fine anythjng. Also what did you use in the tires to make then not balloon? Like fishing wire or something else?

Thanks in advance.

I think I read this in another one of your build threads but how do you wrap line around the tires? I think you said 3x around but wasn’t sure on how you tied it? Was it 3 knots with CA glue on each or just 1 knot?

Did you mod the diffs for them to fit or did they just drop in?

Great info thank you for sharing :)

Jason Gibson on Facebook makes them, but he’s currently under construction. I use fish line braid.

I think I read this in another one of your build threads but how do you wrap line around the tires? I think you said 3x around but wasn’t sure on how you tied it? Was it 3 knots with CA glue on each or just 1 knot?
My method is taking the line and wrapping it around the tire 3 times in each channel making a half knot each time (just like the first part of tying your shoes) and then finishing with a double knot while keeping very tight tension. Then I place a few drops of CA glue on the double knot. I have 3 lines on 3 channels of the tire, so 9 total lines. It works fantastic, zero ballooning and zero weight. The most time consuming part is dremeling out the middle channel of the tire.

Did you mod the diffs for them to fit or did they just drop in?
The Losi center diffs drop right in. The bearing to bearing width is a little shorter so you can add some shims if you like.

Great info thank you for sharing :)

Hey @Overkill, can you post up a link for the fan shrouds?
They’re always on backorder at Amain but this is what I use on my other truggy. https://www.amainhobbies.com/yeah-r...num-fan-protector-black-yea-ya-0478bk/p499639

Those diffs are straight compatible with the ring gears and outdrives? Those are works of art!!

That body does actually look like it could be bullet proof, LOL! Super cool!!

I'm only using this on the center diff, the spur gears are not compatible. I use the Losi outdrives but others have used the Tekno outdrives.

How are you powering your fans? Are you powering them directly from your batteries or going through the receiver?

I wore out a set of those sumo skid plates on my 48.3...they lasted a loooong time though, about a year. Pulled them off and the chassis underneath looked brand new still!! I got some replacements but instead of installing them I used them as patterns and made my own out of ss steel.
