So I've managed to rip apart my front gear box. Learning to jump has taken its toll.

Easily fixed.

How about this for a bent shock tower. Can I put it in a vice fully and gentle bend if flat?

Yeah, you can try...it may "spring" back a little though. Still worth a shot. I have done it with worse towers than yours there.

you may haver to bend it back slightly more than flat to get it back to normal. But it is aluminum so you don't want to bend it too much or it will just snap.

You will never get aluminum to bend back to its original geometry... if you are going to be racing competitively and want the car to handle "properly", then you should replace it. If performance doesn't matter then I would leave well enough alone, though TEKNO offers a 50% warranty for any broken part you mail into them:

Consider upgrading to Carbon towers, they handle some flex and will bend back to the original shape before they snap.

Thanks both.

I'm new to RC entirely and so have been rolling my car a lot on the track. I expected some damage so no concern. Hopefully will get better and reduce the volume of damage mind!

I don't think it is that bent, but have order a couple of spare towers to keep me going for a while.

I'll put the tower back on and keep using it whilst I practice. I suppose I could flip the plate the other way and hopefully slowly bend it back in place lol.

Also managed to bend an inner hinge pin and brake the hinge pin bushings and elongate the hole.

I should have probably bought another Car kit for spares lol

I fact I'm surprise the hinge pin bent without breaking the A or B blocks at the front. I guess the pill inserts take some of the compression

Maybe it's angle of the picture, or something else, but that tower anit bent... just tweaked 🤪 .
Thanks. Now you have me paranoid, and checking my towers.

Lol. Yeah is a mm or two out of spec. I've got some spares, but put this one back on. I'm a beginner, so likely not notice much difference and it isn't putting strain on the shocks as they have some play anyway in the bushings by design by the looks of it.
