5.8mm ball ends

Anyone ever have issues with the 5.8mm steering turnbuckle rod ends breaking and/or popping off with a fairly minor accident? Built my rig a few days ago and when I was assembling the steering rods I noticed that the plastic was pretty thin and soft on the ball ends. Sure enough on my second pack I hit my fence going pretty slow. Slow enough that nothing should have happened, but one of the steering rods popped off the knuckle. 4 minutes later I bumped a garbage can, again going pretty slow, and the same rod end broke between the eyelet and the part that threads onto the turnbuckle. Hoping I just got a bad one and it's not something that will reoccur. Anyone else have this problem?

I’ve not had any issues with turnbuckle ends. Maybe it is a faulty end? Replace it and see what happens?
