Hi, forum is a 1420 kv motor rated 6s? Cause I find it very slow on 4s with a 15t pinion any suggestions will be very appreciated.

I assume you have this motor:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/184330359062

The specs for the 1420kv motor are here:
Max RPM: 50000
KV (RPM / Volt): 1420
Max Voltage: 28V

Even without the specs, though, just dividing the max RPM, which is 50,000 rpm, by the kv rating of 1420 gives you 34.4 which is the max theoretical voltage. That's comfortably above 6s (25.2v) so you're fine running 6s with that motor.

Also, 15t pinion sounds a bit small. These massive motors allow you to swing much larger pinions than otherwise. If you bump from 15t to 18t, and from 4s to 6s, you should be go 1.8 times faster (and depending on tires and surface, you should see a significant fraction of that theoretical gain).

So, in short, if you bump up the voltage and the pinion, you'll go MUCH faster.

Increase pinion size! You should easily beable to pull a 20t pinion on 4s. Gear up till you hit your target temp I like staying 150-160f on the can

Yes that's the motor I have in my truck.

Thank you I have the pinions up to 22 just got to get me a 6s battery now again thanks for the information.

Yes thats the motor I'm running.

Yes it will certainly run 6S, a low kv motor like that will run rather slow and not particularly efficiently on 4S.

I would also gear up to around 17-20 T pinion.

I found that out today that on 4s it wasn't enough to move faster than my pomeranian. Lol I'm waiting on my 6s battery to come that I also ordered yesterday. Thanks.

Yeah they are underwhelming without the right gearing, I stock arrma 6s motor is so much faster and lighter, but when you want a decent amount of torque and running higher voltage the 4092 starts to come into its own.
