Nicochau had a post about his sct/buggy conversation and I had to build one. So thanks Nicochau for the idea it’s been a fun build

-EB48.4 used roller
-Castle 2650kv motor
-Hobbywing sc8 ESC. RTR version
-Protek 130t servo
-castle bec
-Proline bash body (slash)
-11.5 mm hex adapters
-Arrma body mounts
With some rigged up custom mount
-15t pinion
-3s batt
-tbone front and rear sct bumpers

This all started when my son wanted a sct (he likes the way the body’s look ?). But our local track is rough on 1/10 scale rigs. So this was my compromise with him

Track side update

Honestly was shocked at how well it handled the wider track stance made it ez to come out of the corners under power. Was not spinning out like I do with the stock buggy setup

A littler harder the change the pitch of rig in the air but manageable.

Had a lot more consistent lap times compared to buggy’s first time out.

Power and gearing was perfect for the track

I think this set up will be good for my 8year old son. Something more controllable and fun for him at the track when I am running the buggy

I have the SCT410.3 for my son but he does run it with the 17mm SL hexes w/ buggy wheels so its wide like a buggy like yours. Definitely easier to drive harder with that set up IMO.
