I have completed my ET48.3 build and have made a custom ESC mount for it since the 4082 motor prevents the ESC from being mounted in the normal location. This mount is made of aluminium and plastic sandwich sign post sheet.

It mounts onto the three transponder screw points on the top of the receiver box and onto the brake/throttle servo mount on the opposite side of the chassis. The Max8 ESC is then screwed onto the plate using the threads that are on the bottom of the ESC.

I also cut two notches either side of the ESC in case I need to use a cable tie as well as screws to secure the ESC.

The receiver wire comes out the back of the receiver box which had to be trimmed to allow the cable to fit through. This makes the installation very neat.

@Klappars well done, very nice mount.

I'm assuming you are going to be bashing that things pretty strong with such a motor. Any plan for metal braces or tower to tower brace that would stiffen the chassis?

I don't intend to do any big air kind of bashing; I like to drive fast around local parks and usualyl fairly moderate jumps. That's why I have that motor so that I can blast around on 6S and drive hard without any heat problems.

If I do decide to do any bigger jumps then I will invest in M2C chassis braces annd perhaps larger wheels/tyres. The chassis seems a lot stronger than my Arrma .

Looks good, on 6s power if you really lean on it too long you will melt the center diff housing. The chassis isn't bad on the truck factory but def if you go for lots of air get the M2C braces or even there wide chassis it allows you do just what you did and still keep a LCG

I may look into an aluminium centre diff case as I had a hot racing one on my arrma.

As far as I know M2C make one and the fioroni Losi one fits.

I may also be putting thicker diff oil in the centre diff as stock is only 10k!

Nice idea!
I've Relocated my Esc on top of the Motor, i wanted to keep wires short.

I have a Fioroni Mugen center diff that I'll use on another project, might see if it fits here as well.

I'd not use a Fioroni diff for general bashing, however. They recommend a teardown and inspection/relube every race day as I recall. Could push that to a few bashing sessions, but it seems like too high a maintenance item for that use (not to mention the cost of those diffs).

I'm thinking there are other center diffs that would fit. I have a bag of them from when I was researching removing a T-Maxx tranny from a Gorillamaxx G2R and replacing it with a center diff. While I haven't checked any of them out against the Tekno diff, I would be surprised if more aren't a match. If the Fioroni Losi CD works, then there's Losi diffs that would work too for instance.
