Got myself the ET48 and SCT410 kits last month and I've always enjoyed painting bodies, thus I typically end up with several for every new rig I get. Here are a couple I did over the last couple weeks for the short course...

On this one I ghosted in the Tekno logo on the hood and the roof. Turned out pretty good...

This is a monster truck body I custom fit to my ET48.3...

I know it's not a Tekno, but I recently got this trailer to go along with my heavily modified TRX-4 crawler so I can tow around my 4-tec 2.0... paints match decent and that was never a plan..

Nice work. Wish I could paint like that.

Can you post a pic with the white raptor body mounted? Thanks.

Thanks. The painting part of these is actually pretty quick, it's the masking that takes all the time. I've painted over 50 bodies by now and it just takes patience and practice. So often I try to get the paint on as fast as possible so I'm using hair dryers and heat guns to get it to dry lol. But I can easily spend several hours just making a body if I'm going to do at least 3 or 4 colors and it's not just straight stripes. I just watched a few videos and once I got some good tape and blades for my hobby knife it got much easier.

As far as the body, I will say that for it to fit perfect I need to either get front body mounts that are one or two holes taller so the front bumper part of the wheel well clears the front of the tires better when the suspension compresses while turning. Either that or I'll just trim a bit more. The rears I run 4 holes down from the top and fits perfectly. It's the Proline True Scale Raptor short course body.. These Proline super swamper tires are the widest tires I have and what I normally use while just running around out front of the house... wheelbase setting on the truck in the pics is 3mm in the rear of the back hub and 2mm in the front of it.

@Supradude26 Thanks for the pictures. And for the painting tips. I'm with @WoodiE, even my single color bodies don't come out as good. But I've only done 2 bodies. So I think I need more experience.

Thanks guys. And yea, back when i had only painted just 2 of them mine had a lot of work to go too. Like anything, it just takes time, practice and most of all patience...
